The quarry holds mirror carp well into double figures as well as common carp also to a very good size. The carp fishing at Marden Quarry has been very good in recent years with carp to 18lbs reported. Other species are roach, rudd, tench, perch, bream, crucian carp and the occasional large goldfish. The water has been stocked in recent years with both roach and perch.

The Environment agency installed spawning structures in Marden quarry which appear to be working well, as large numbers of fry have been reported this year.

There is no close season on this water.

please note that fishing is not allowed from the Rushes to the left of the inlet to the Bushes right of the inlet.

Any one fishing this water are asked to use the carpark in Marden Quarry and not to park in Studley Gdns.
