Dissington pond near Ponteland is an old brick pond, which has been landscaped,
developed and stocked by the club over the years, making
it into a fine fishery. Dissington offers a wide selection of species including tench over 5lbs, roach, rudd, perch, bream, ide, crucian carp and both mirror and common carp.
The carp have packed on weight over the last couple of years . The pond is fully pegged, and anglers should only fish from the pegs.
Parts of the water are very deep so junior and senior anglers
should take care. The water may be used for matches from time to time. These
matches will be advertised and notices on the water will specify when the
water is closed. There is no close season on this water and a limit of 1lb of dry groundbait is in force.
