BIG WATERS

  Big Waters Lake

  Little Big Waters

Big waters consists of two lakes at Seaton Burn, just north of Newcastle.

Big Waters lake is 22 acres in area and offers excellent fishing for carp and bream as well as for fine roach, rudd and tench. The carp and bream are of specimen size with carp of 26lbs. and bream of 7lbs. recorded.

Pleasure nets in excess of 20lb are a realistic target given favorable conditions. The lake has continued to produce good roach and bream catches throughout the winter months in recent years.

The smaller lake (Little Big Waters), is in close proximity to the large lake and contains the same species as Big Waters. It is noted for its shoals of good quality rudd.
